What are “On Campus Interns”?
Brigham Young University offers a class called “On-Campus Interns”.
This class is a four-month internship during the school semester. Students in the class are assigned teams of 4-5. Each team is assigned an internship from a variety of businesses and non-profit organizations. This gives the students a chance to learn in areas they are interested in and an opportunity to expand their skills and knowledge in new areas.
At the end of this internship, the students have real-life experience with a business or non-profit and can add this to their resumes. In exchange, they offer hours of project-driven work to those they are working with.
Why AGHF Internship?
At the beginning of the semester, we asked our fantastic four why they had chosen AGHF. Their responses seemed to have one theme, they wanted to do something meaningful. They loved the idea of supporting and helping with girls education for orphans and refugees in Africa.
