Dr. Grace Faraja Nkundabantu is the Founder and CEO of African Girls Hope Foundation of African Girls Hope Foundation, a US based 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a mission to empower, equip and educate underprivileged aged girls in Sub-Saharan Africa. She completed a PhD in Human and Social Services with emphasis in Global Human Services and Behavioral Sciences, at Walden University. Grace also has a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from Ashford University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Daystar University.

She is the author of the book, "Experiences of Refugee women with different physical abilities in Kenya". She has been a powerful speaker in many different international forums and conventions advocating for the wellbeing of women and girls in Africa. Her recent guest speaker opportunity on Inspiring Inclusion at the United Nations in New York, US and Gender Based Violence in East Africa at the Center for Justice, Toronto, Canada.
She has a wealth of global experiences, mostly in the areas of empowering women and girls. She has traveled extensively to spearhead community engagement in the East and Central African countries and beyond. For over a decade, Dr. Grace has served in different international humanitarians’ organizations such as Samaritan’s Purse International Relief, SERV International and others.
Over the years, she has received multiple international recognitions, including the 2023 Timothy Bowles African Human Rights Award, Dr. Nina Meyerhof Leadership AWARD 2019 – for outstanding dedication to bring social change and a devotion to fighting poverty and injustice and 2014 Refugee Voice.
She is an Educator, Entrepreneur, Mentor and Advocate (EEMA). She is married to Mr. Denis Horaho, and they have been blessed with 4 beautiful girls, Deborah, Elsa, Neza and Nella.

African Girls Hope Foundation (AGHF) exists to provide orphan and refugee school aged girls in Sub-Saharan Africa with a quality formal education. Through education, these girls can gain the knowledge and confidence to grow into women who will positively contribute to their communities, nations and the world.
