😧 Refugees in a new country!

Jolie grew up in a family of 8 living in Africa. Her family had to flee their home and became refugees in a foreign country. Throughout all of this, Jolie has faced many significant challenges. One of those challenges has been within her own family. Jolie’s father has a very severe health condition, rendering him immobile.

👩🏽‍🎓 Is school even an option?

As part of a large family of refugees, the lack of resources and funds was making it almost impossible to continue going to school. Jolie was about to drop out.

At this time, Jolie met the mentors at AGHF. With no means to continue school, Jolie applied to receive a scholarship from AGHF hoping for an education. AGHF stepped in to ensure that Jolie was able to stay in school.
